In the immediate vicinity of the Schlossböckelheimer Felsenberg lies the VDP.GROSSE LAGE® Schlossböckelheimer Kupfergrube, one of the most spectacular vineyard sites on the Nahe.
The Kupfergrube faces south and is set in a spectacular location at the foot of the volcanic cliff face. It thus enjoys the advantages of a fantastic microclimate. Its name goes back to an old copper mine on which the vineyard was later planted. The weathered volcanic soil is extremely rich in minerals, virtually devoid of loam and regularly produces outstanding wines noted for being especially aromatic.
Since 2016 our holding in the Kupfergrube consists of 1.5 ha and we look forward to being able to offer you some exciting wines.
